Let's talk about the biggest mistake I see in interviews!!!!

I’ve seen it more times than I can count.

15–20 minutes of an interview… gone. Wasted walking someone step-by-step through a resume like it’s story time.

You know what that really tells the other person?

→  You don’t know how to tell your story (Auch!)

I want to share something with you….

You are not your job titles.

You are not your bullet points.

You ARE your impact. Your energy. Your unique lens. (BOOM!)

🛑 No one’s hiring you just for what you did.

They’re hiring you for the way you think, the energy you bring, and the way you lead.

People don’t remember your timeline.

They remember your CLARITY. Your confidence. Your POWER.

Here are some examples….

❌ “So I started as a marketing coordinator, then became a manager, and then last year I got promoted to senior manager…”

✅ Try this:

“I help brands grow with content that actually connects — blending strategy, data, and storytelling that moves people to act.”

❌ “I worked at X for 5 years, then moved to Y to manage the operations team…”

✅ Try this:

“I help teams simplify chaos and deliver big results by creating systems that actually make sense — and stick.”

❌ “I’ve done a bit of everything from project management to client-facing roles…”

✅ Try this:

“I help cross-functional teams deliver faster by bridging the gap between people and process — I make progress happen.”

🔥 Here’s what to do next:

Write your power statement. Short. Clear. No fluff. And make it your own…feel free to make it fun and memorable.

👉 “I help [who] with [what] by using [your top 2-3 superpowers].”

Practice it out loud until it feels natural.

Use it in interviews, pitches, networking — wherever you’re showing up.

Let your ENERGY and CLARITY speak louder than your resume ever could.

You are unforgettable when you decide to be.

Don’t waste another interview playing small.
