The Power of 3-Seconds of COURAGE (That Gave Me a Super Bowl Ring)

Let me take you there…

I pull up to the NFL Indianapolis Colts practice field.  I’ve just recently moved from Puerto Rico. I’m curious. I’m wearing black shorts, a sports bra, no makeup, and a ponytail.

Then I see them.

Over 500 BEAUTIFUL women. Sparkles. Lashes. Lipstick. Perfect hair. Everyone looks like they belong on a magazine cover.

I shrink. My chest tightens. I turn around. I walk back to my car.

Hand on the door handle. Car beeping as I unlock it.

And then…

A whisper inside me says: “You came to learn. You came to have fun. Why not?”

I pause. 3 seconds. And I turn back around.

That one moment…just 3 seconds of COURAGE turned into a 7-year chapter I never expected: 💥 NFL Cheerleader 💥 Team Captain 💥 Choreographer 💥 Super Bowl ring with my NAME on it 💥 Lifelong friends 💥 A new version of ME (this is the best part of new chapters = GROWTH)

didn’t plan all of it, I just didn’t leave.

What helped me keep going?

#1 I focused on the outcome: Learn + Have Fun. No pressure! 

#2 I stopped trying to “fit in” and instead of focusing on comparison I started to realize that my difference was my edge.

#3 I bet on the opportunity instead of the fear of failure.

I recently stopped talking about being FEARLESS because “fear” will always be there when you're going big.

But Courage? That’s what turns the key and drives. 

COURAGE means taking the ACTION in spite of fear! 

Now it's your turn.
